Don't get involved if you can't handle it. Some people can get REALLY mean and if you're on your own, it'll be hell.

If you want a part (which I know you do) maybe you should audition for the show and take the class (which is offered next semester) for credit...that way you satisfy both!! Just an idea! That way you have have your proverbial cake AND eating it too! Think about it! You can't have it both ways...It can't be an exception for you and not for anyone else...It isn't fair that way! And I know that the dept isn't fair but we ALL have to deal with it!

I know I can't have it both. I can't be in the show. That's okay, there are thousands of more chances. This is more important. Besides, my advisor told me that a problems course is the best option since I already took the same class at a different school. ....And this isn't about the department. It is about human decency.

It doesn't help that there are people who aren't even trying to get along...but there are people in this world that you're going to have to work with that you're not going to like,it's a valuable lesson that we all need to learn...some more than others I guess. The world is unfair and sucky that way but if you ever need to talk, you know where to find me.
