Frankly, *you're* my hero for reading and commenting. I just feel like a nerdy dork... who *still* hasn't lesson planned for tomorrow and omg what was I thinking assigning Rochester poetry?!
It's pleasing to know that my people do exist in the world and that I'm not the only one with a brain that makes these connections ...
And obviously you were thinking that Rochester is crazy-entertaining. It'll be fun. (Tell them the story about the butter! Wait, maybe not, that might make their heads literally explode. Probably you won't see this until it's too late anyway.)
I thought about it some more. In that same episode, the middle-aged Eastern European Lady who helps Michael (then grabs a machine gun and starts flat-out killing people) is clearly affected by ideology (ISA) because her father was some kind of rebel, too (who was repressed-- executed-- several years before.) Surely that kind of behavior is what Section needed, not people only there due to RSA threats.
That's because it's an awesome show!!! (Although this is the first time I've watched it where I've been so aware that it was filmed in Canada. I'm totally noticing how it seems to be winter all the time, everywhere the characters go...)
