Family: My grandfather had a heart attack yesterday morning. He's going to be fine, they say, but he's in the hospital until at least tomorrow. Also, one of my cousins was in a car accident today-- she's fine but her car is not. I really hope that there isn't a third, but that if there is it

i'm glad your grandfather and cousin are ok! here's hoping things don't always come in threes.

Hurrah, Paypal has been sorted. :)

The bookstore on the other hand... well, I go in tomorrow. We'll see what changes the Boss has cooked up, and what bizarro thing we'll be doing next! (If it involves clowns or cold-calling, I'm out of there.)

Oh boy. Running a used bookstore like that is ... brilliant. For values of brilliant that are extremely problematic. (On the other hand, I know customers lie about what places say they'll buy...) But. Good luck. If it gets too bad, you know what to do :)

You're quite right about customers lying; of this I have no doubt. On the other hand, the very first night I was in the store I heard the Boss tell people he'd buy their National Geographics. He'll tell people anything they want to hear.
