I give up. I submit that I know nothing. Zip. Nada.

(This isn't entirely true, but I don't know enough. And I'm second guessing everything today.)

Is there any reason why I should not purchase this AC adaptor thingie for my Dell Latitude D820, for a mere $18 + $6.34 shipping? It says it has a 1 year warranty ( Read more... )

For my money, I've never had any problems with off brand chargers, so I'd recommend the cheaper one.
As far as the battery, I tend to put a lot of faith in user reviews, so the five star four user reviewed battery that was $59.99 would be my bet.
Also, wait to buy the battery until after the charger arrives. Sometimes a new charger will replenish a battery.
I hope my recent experiences into Sony Handycam batteries helps. My finances are yucky, too, so I wish you well.
