With what we found out in chapter 551, it only makes sense that Ace would have resented Luffy at first, especially if he had been isolated and wasn't used to dealing with people (and even if not - a sudden hyperactive 7-year-old little brother-type person invading one's home would make most 10-year-olds pouty!)

And then he starts talking about Pirate Kings! Touchy subject! ^.^

Then again, it's hard not to like Luffy. ^__^

This fic literally started with the sentences: "I'm gonna be the Pirate King" and Good for you and then I kind of worked backwards and forwards from there XP

Hopefully this'll last more than a week before being horribly Jossed

Oda did it first! Turn Ace into an angstmuffin, I mean. We used to think the worst he had to deal with was a little brother like Luffy and a grandfather like Garp, but then it turns out he's got this bunch of Issues! (And people who tortures him with them in canon! Poor Ace ._.)

"I'm going to be Pirate King!" is a good place to start when it comes to tiny!Luffy! Oh, ACE. ♥
