It's coming. There's an entire generation growing up that doesn't understand what the fuss is all about. They'll make a huge difference! :)

This was a long and hard election. But we came through on top. This win, is not just about reelecting a president that we like. It's about standing up for the ideals that we upholds, and to make it known that America is changing, and that we will not be trodden upon and thrown back to the ideals of the middle ages.

I actually shed tears when I heard the news about president Obama and the wins on marriage equality. Honestly, I don't think even I realized how worried and scared I was about Obama loosing the election. Today is a good day for America <3

I know how you feel, hon. I was crying last night when the president made his acceptance speech. He was so eloquent and it was wonderful to see him with his family! It turned an anxious day into a great one!!!!!

Granted, I was only part of the 24.4% in my county that voted for Obama, I've was never so excited as I was last night. I feel asleep before he started speaking, but I did click the DVR record button, so I can watch it this evening ( ... )

I was absolutely SHOCKED to hear that my home state, Washington, actually passed marriage equality! The western part of the state (where Seattle is located) is more liberal, but the eastern part (with my hometown Spokane) has always been super conservative - one of the main reasons I couldn't wait to move away. More shocking, was discovering that most of my Republican relatives (who post on Facebook) actually voted FOR marriage equality. The country really IS changing.

It's not just young people - I have half-siblings who are conservative but support equality. And I myself am OLD, but I've always been super liberal.
