Henry Sherman-Townshend's under Hermes's protection, so there's a good chance he could do the ritual to reduce Walter's power so that we can kill him, without Henry being reduced himself. If we could find some other way of chipping at Walter even further, that would mean even better odds ( Read more... )

I can't get to Wish House without, like, bringing a helicopter with me. That's kind of my own fault. All the roads are out.

But I could get to Dahlia's church. I just grabbed every book I could find and brought them to Kate's office. I haven't really found anything yet.

That's all right. We're fresh out of interdimensional helicopters, but there must be something in Dahlia's collection that'll help. We'll mark those priority and start in on them right away. Thanks a lot, Cheryl.

Writing something up? Yeah, that might not be a bad idea. Not everyone's familiar with it yet.

Yeah, it's a lot of stuff, I know. Believe me. Sometimes it piles up and...you just have to get it out.

Look, maybe we should take an evening out here and go visit your parents for dinner, or have them over to your place. Or my place even. I know you haven't talked to them as much as you'd like to recently, and I know we're busy- but that's still important. They'd be okay without us for a few hours.

My shoulder's pretty much normal, but yeah, I'm trying to be careful with it. It should be even better than new, soon. Thanks for asking.

Yeah, they should know what they're volunteering for. And I'd hate for them to be confused in there if the three of us shot at one thing and took off running from another. They need to know to run from him.

Yeah. Yeah, I'm trying to save most of the exploding for sometime more convenient, but I guess I just needed a little steam out. The books are getting blurry.

I don't know, maybe? I feel so damn rotten about putting time into other stuff, but I guess we do have more people helping now. And God, that would be so wonderful. Really really nice. I don't know, help?

Good. Good, I'm glad.

Yeah, they really do.

[Locked to Eileen]
I know the feeling. Always feel free to vent at me, Eileen.

We should do that, I think. For both of us. I think we need it.

...I'm worried about what I'm going to do when I get in there. I can have, I've been having, conversations about stuff like this every day, and it's all like watching a movie. Like, right now, talking about running away from him as he's shooting at us. I don't feel upset, or anything. I'm worried I'm going to get in there, and I'm going to realize what's going on, and be so much dead weight.
So step on my foot or something if it looks like I've gone for a mental walk in the cornfield, I guess.

All right. I'd like that a lot. I'll call them tonight, see what's up.

I was actually going to ask you about that. There's a few people coming along that want to know just what's going on...what happened. I want to write it up, but I know I'm not much good at it. Do you think you could help me with that?

[locked to Eileen]
It's okay, Eileen. I'll be all right. And besides, it was worth a try.

Of course. We can sit down and hammer something out tonight or tomorrow.

[locked to Henry]
I know you will be, but... no, never mind. Listen, don't forget, if there's anything I can do to help outside of the research stuff, I'm here for you and you can ask me anytime, all right?

Thanks.

I know. Thank you. Some of this just won't be better till we get Liz back, though....but you know that.

I'm willing to put in as much effort as it takes, for as long as there's time to work on it. How much I can do with the medallions will all depend on how much of the effect comes from the rituals and power that go into them, how much is something I can replicate versus how much is unique to your paradigm. Some of the warding which I know is very much like what it sounds like you need, but if it takes something that the spirits of that place will 'recognize'... I might be able to make as many as half a dozen that would be able to protect you there. Or only one or two. Or none.

I think it can work. I'm going to believe that it will work until I have reason to think otherwise. It'll be draining, but if it works...

We would appreciate that so much, thank you Ika. It's okay if these things can't be made by other people, I know that's possible. But if you can make even just a couple, that would be really helpful.

I scanned everything I could find, and they're all in the attachment. Some of them were in some dead or unique languages, but the text document in there has the English translations.

[file attachment: saintref.zip]

(( The Saint Medallions are indeed unique to the Silent Hill-verse and its mythos, but like many other things, the cult originally yoinked a fair amount of their design from other religious sources. So Ika's reproductions probably won't be as powerful as the originals, but since the medallions have multiple religious and paradigmatic backgrounds, it is concievable that he could reproduce their effect to a certain extent.

Anywhere from none to half a dozen is fine, depending on how many you think he could crank out, but no more than 6 please. Can't make things too easy for the characters. ;-D ))

Thank you, especially for the translations- that'll make this much easier to handle, I think ( ... )

No problem. Thanks a lot, Ika.

(( Don't sweat it! Orgo is horrible and takes precedence! The characters' departure isn't going to be anything hugely special. It will pretty much amount to "we can get in now! *open portal, sprint in*" Depending on how fast everyone else comments, by 11 PM Wednesday night, the group may well already be gone. If so, we can fudge it and say that the medallions got ported into the characters' possession or something of the sort.

3 or 4 is good and fine! :) ))
