I made the long trek to see my old best friend from high school tonight. Krista and I chatted with him while he got drunk and talked a little too much, and it felt like I never really knew him to begin with. We joked around about how I used to be in love with him, and I think he still didn't quite get it. I also found driving around on back roads

i had that exact realization tonight. i realized that the one valuable female friendship i had in highschool turned out to be a complete waste. seven years of 'knowing' someone and then you realize you don't even really know them and can't figure out why that person barely talks to you after you won't go partying with them one weekend. people just change on you. their priorities change, goals change. especially when college gets to people.

i've always been really weird with keeping friends. i have a few best girlfriends but it wasn't easy for myself to let me keep them because i tend to push people away without realizing it. i'm definitely that person that lets her priorities and goals change way too often.
