Today work was nearly a total loss because someone set up a large screen to stream all the WC games on, with chairs and couches around it. All of the weekday games are during work hours for us, so it's basically going to be on all day. The noon (for us) game was fun, because we have several Spanish and Dutch people in the office.
I actually did the YES! thing when Robin scored that header and everyone looked at me like I had two heads. I said "Sorry, World Cup." And again, I got the blank stare. For all the talk of VA being a huge soccer state, you'd never know it by the people I work with.
I think I'm taking a long lunch for the US/Germany game so I can go watch it someplace with people who actually cheer.
