DEAD HALLS. Yessssss.

Something I learned recently: I love the act of getting lost but as soon as I start thinking about finding my way back (or, I guess, as soon as I start putting value on the places I've left behind and coming up with compelling reasons to return to them) I start to become actually and truly terrified! Discovering a new space changes you, sometimes a little and sometimes a lot, and there really isn't any way to go back from that.

This story pretty much sums up those feelings for me. Therefore it is THE MOST HORRIFIC THING right now. And I love it so much. :|

Glad it's properly creepy! I don't actively try to write creepy all that often, so I was a little worried it would fall flat.

I've only been really, truly lost twice in my life, and both of those times were late at night in bad weather when I was tired and just wanted to be home already, so I don't have any good experiences with getting lost. I like the idea! I just have a really good sense of direction. Maybe I should try harder. ._.

Yeah, I suppose the key must be getting lost in a time of general leisure. If there's any sort of time limit/existing stress intruding on your thoughts, the result will probably just be a sense of AAAAARRRRRGGGGGH.

I only request that you make sure to have ample supplies which will ensure your survival, slkfjskf.

Oh, don't worry~ I was a Girl Guide, I remember the motto, I'd go prepared, with lots of time and a means of finding my way back quickly in case of emergency. I'm not suicidal, I just think it would be interesting. The mountains in midsummer... it would be nice, in a way, I think, to be lost enough that no one else could find me either (without badass search and rescue equipment, anyway, haha). Also very possibly scary. But in a fun way! Maybe! In any case, I'd like to try it sometime. ^_^
