This was really sweet :3 I think that odd little ritual is certainly something Miranda might have and this:

"God?" she croaks

made me laugh because it seemed like such an appropriately MIRANDA reaction XD

I don't know about leaving Lavi out of it; he seemed to provide the push she needed to break her despair but... either way, it was lovely!

Well, maybe, but when I reread it after finish I was like 'naaagghh weeping on the roof in the rain in each other's argh COULD THIS BE MORE MELODRAMATIC.' But if it's still enjoyable, I guess that's okay. ^___^;;
