A long and winding essay (but don't worry there are pics)

Zac Efron did not say " I regret HSM," contrary to the many thousands of people who have heard this and are now crucifying him for it. He didn't even imply it. Flat out. Simple as that.

You think I'm exaggerating the impact but the view and follower counts don't lie. The story is on many huge accounts, some that have one, three and even five Read more... )

hsm4evah, @zacefron, he says, sharpay approves of this drama, essay

Nice essay.

I ~know~ how ignorant and stupid people on the internet are but I'm still rolling my eyes every day. And I genuinely don't understand how people are getting through real life with their complete lack of reading comprehension and common sense. Plus, it seems it's getting worse and worse every day.

I'm really glad he made a tweet, even though it was too little, too late. Better than nothing I guess. But I also think this is a good example where he could or even should have said more because this is nothing which is forgotten soon but will be held against him forever. In the social media age and esp with this topic and audience, subtle just doesn't really work, as can be witnessed from all the reactions. Now everyone is bitching he's fake, lying and trying to backtrack instead of what really happened. But alas... I doubt that is going to happen.

Obviously, I have no issues with what he said in his recent articles/interviews - if I did, I would have long commented on it. lol

This is the best. Thank you for it. "We see that with every movie that comes out, he wins more people over." this is the truth. And it was nice to see in the Neighbors sequel how much he grew in that role the way he did each time as Troy, not only the great leaps in skill with the dancing and singing, but as Troy he also took huge leaps in how to carry a film and anchor a scene. He gets better the more he does whatever thing he's doing and is as smart as he is committed. He is very self-aware and is so good at being challenged.

He improves so much that it's no wonder, every movie is his "breakout" or "first" as the journalist so often like to comment to him. And he so gracious every time and explains what it's like to do his first comedy (for the fifth time) or his first mature roll (for the 3rd time).

This is a great essay and it really felt good to read it. Thank you.

They clearly want Zac to be Troy forever. But they are the same people which can't wait to grown up to live there own life whitout surveillance. It's so annoying!
