"I always overshoot everything. I like to have a lot of material to work with."
In every interview, he mentions scenes and shots that he cut out of the finished release. I'd pay an extra $20 for the DVD that had all this in the bonus materials, or gave us a second, uncut version ( probably about three or four hours long). It wouldn't be good as a movie, but we'd get to see all the funny, and obscene, stuff they left out.
They will be in the DVD. Nick Stoller said that those cut scene will be there (as always). But I wish that all those deleted scenes were in the movie ... That would be a lot funnier.
They are deleted from the film too many scenes with Zac. 70% of the film is Seth and Rose. But the funny thing is all brought Zac.

As a Zac fan, I agree, I'd like to see him in every scene. But they made the right decisions.
This movie was raised from OK to hit status because they dropped the idea of using Rogen and two buddies (the "townies" of the original title) in a war with the fraternity. That would have been simply macho hijinks. Choosing to tell the story from a young family's point of view added extra dimensions to the conflict.
Also, making both sides sympathetic, rather than just good guys vs. bad guys, was vital. Zac's role was originally envisioned as villainous. Making him a good guy, at least in his own eyes, was vital. If that was Zac's idea, as stated, then he deserves a medal.
