I absolutely LOVE that Zac (seemingly) has a movie in competition in Venice. This is just awesome.

And a TIFF follow up after.

This really bodes well so far. I'm keeping my fingers and everything else crossed for the movie and Zac to be received well. It could do wonders for Zac.

About how many films are in competition at Venice? Either way, this is excellent news.

I searched for last year's info, and found out twenty-one films were in competition at Venice last year. I think it'll be about the same this year, too. :)

I'm not very good at understanding spoken English because I've learned English mostly from reading books. So I can't provide you with exact transcript, but the guy in the video(TIFF artistic director and programmer) says that Ramin Bahrani understands American culture and its people better than anyone and his new movie At Any Price is a study about America like his previous movies. And he says At Any Price is about codes of honor and its myths and it's a beautiful movie. I'm not entirely sure if this guy already saw the movie(I think he probably saw the movie), but he seems very enthusiastic about the movie.

Thank you very much annabelle!
I don't need transcription, you answered all my questions. Especially in the last sentence. :) I was wondering, he gives the impression of a man who saw the movie or not? And you yourself answered the question. Thank you again! :)

You're welcome! :)

I really don't know if he has seen the movie, to be honest. I don't know how these film festivals work. Do they watch every movie submitted before deciding on official lineup, or do they just watch promotional clips from each movie? I just hope At Any Price and Zac's acting in it turn out great!
