At least they gave credit to Arroyo Grande as his hometown; San Luis Obispo seems to absorb most of the Zac-related publicity by its size and proximity.
They are, for all practical purposes. The two communities (and one or two other small towns) are adjacent. Most of the folks in AG probably work and shop (and attend community theater plays) in SLO.
The residents of St. Paul, Minnesota, will understand the situation; Minneapolis gets all the notice.
No, they are two different cities. But, they are both located in SLO county. The city of SLO is the county seat.
The newscaster said he was a native of AG. I thought that if you were a "native" of somewhere, you were born there. That would make him a native of SLO, even though he grew up in AG.
