Really good interview, but I just noticed that's not his mom in one of the pics they showed. You'd think they would run those pics by his management or something, but all over I have no complaints.

the mom pic made me lol. tbf, wireimage labeled it incorrectly. but everyone knows wireimage makes mistakes like that so i would've googled to double-check myself. it is actually anne sweeney, a disney/abc tv exec.

Oh wow, I've always wondered who that woman was, and there's another picture with her, Zac and some guy that they called Zac's dad *smh* wireimage needs to get it together LOL

This report/interview has earned by total approval. The summary of the first half of his career is very well done; someone did some actual research. (By the way, note that he mentioned Vanessa without blinking an eye, so I don't think there's any special sensitivity to mere referencing).

They were obviously running out of time and abbreviated the rest of his life story. I'm glad they included M&OW but was surprised there was no notice of 17 Again, his most successful film outside the Disney franchise.

I'm a little concerned by all the military scenes at the beginning; this gives the misleading impression that TLO might be a war movie.

Wow. This was so much better than the usual "sit him in front of a movie poster and ask inane questions for three minutes" type of standard interview.

These CBS Sunday morning shows are usually more than the normal sit in front of a movie poster interview which is why I was looking forward to this.

Nice interview, but why is a lot of about HSM?
I want to know about New Zac, about TLO...
But that good interview. Zac is very good!

As I noted, they were heavy on details from the beginning of his career, then started abbreviating. I suspect they produced a rather comprehensive bio but had to start cutting for time. The original was probably twice as long. Alas, I doubt we'll ever get to see the "director's cut".

Overall good interview, and the little Zac pictures they showed were adorable.

The intro is so serious. Say "heartthrob" again, CBS.

You know what, I don't find the premise of TLO creepy that Logan wanted to find Beth to say thank you. I don't agree with exactly how it's executed, but that idea that he simply wants to say thanks isn't odd to me? This is a Sparks novel, so I'm not going to get ~too deep~ with it, but there ya go.

"2010's Charlie St.Cloud... not so much!"
Womp, womp, womp.

Jokes aside, I like that this interview provided a few new details (the childhood photo you posted above being one of them) and musings that we don't often get from junkets, editorial/late-night type interviews.

i don't actually find it that creepy either. i mean he didn't go there to trick her into loving him or into giving him money or anything, just to repay the favor as best he could. this isn't the duke and the dauphin and the wilks family from huck finn or even martin guerre/sommersby.

I just see some 'Oh, so he's a stalker- NEAT' kind of comments out there and I'm like how are you getting stalker from finding a photo at war and searching to find the woman in the image to say thank you? Again, I don't side with Logan not telling Beth right away (but then there'd be no story...). The oddest part for me is the distance he walked!
