It may be an animated movie, but I'm still really happy that it's done SO well.

I always end up loving the pictures we get from The Paperboy set. I don't know why though.

OK, call me Mr. Buzzkill, but I am not amused by all these photos of people yucking it up with the remains of a dead animal, killed for no good purpose and used for entertainment value. Would they do the same with a dead dog?

that's pretty reductive though. i'm not really a fan at all of hunting (esp for sport) but dogs =/= alligators in so, so many ways.

and they weren't killed for no reason, they were killed to reduce the risk of attacks on zac and matt while filming. i think some were also killed (in line with normal hunting rules in louisiana) for the film explicitly. and personally i think they goofed around with it a bit just to become comfortable with a frightening creature that was suddenly co-existing with them. that could be viewed negatively as some sort of man must dominate all nature but you gotta do what you gotta do.

"just to become comfortable with a frightening creature that was suddenly co-existing with them"

Who was intruding into who's environment? Or, who were the real frightening creatures?

I understand the psychology, but I personally would never participate in these kinds of antics just to relieve my anxiety. Even when it is "necessasry" to kill wildlife, show some respect.
