It seems like they're sticking to the book, for the most part. Doesn't Zac have to go back to film the untitled Banhrani project right after this?

The fan pictures are really adorable. Set and fan pictures are my favorite types of pictures.

If Liberal Arts debuts in film festivals, does that mean it won't come out in regular theaters?

I'm not sure exactly when he'll be going back for the Bahrani pic. It is soon but possibly not immediately.

And re: Liberal Arts. If a film debuts at a festival it doesn't mean it won't come out in regular theaters. It depends on other factors.

A lot of big independent films that premiere at festivals are already planning on going to regular theaters but they just want a splash, especially with critics. On the opposite side of the spectrum many truly independent, small budget films will never get shown outside of festivals and won't even be released on dvd.

In the middle you have films like Liberal Arts which will often get limited releases to a small number of theaters and then go to dvd. Josh's last film HappyThankYouMorePlease got released to only 19 theaters at once which is basically LA and NY and maybe another big city or two. Liberal Arts does have a slightly more well-known cast which hopefully means a good distributor will be interested and will get it out to most larger cities.

On Zac's IMDB page, it says post-production for the Untitled Bahrani project, so that's why I was wondering about it.

I got SUPER excited seeing the film's logo on the back of the director's chairs- I always find the title lettering to be so interesting!

It's a breath of fresh air to see non-flipped/short hair. IDC, I'm a fan of when he lets the length get OOC.

"I've been working on my winking ever since so the next time I see him I'll be ready."

Aw, she's cute! +10 for remaining standing after being winked at. I swear there would have been at least the slightest of buckling in one of my knees fo sho, lol.

I'm curious what Zac will film after The Paperboy and the Rahmani project. Looks like he will be put front and center in The New Year's Eve promotions, so I wonder Zac can find time to do another movie this winter. Like some people commented earlier, I hope he can snag a new studio film soon.

Die In A Gunfight and The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman look like the two that are furthest along in development. But holy heck, anything can happen. Look at the past year -- New Year's Eve came out of nowhere, there were no early announcements for The Untitled Bahrani Project or The Paperboy, and without the Twitter patrol, his role in Liberal Arts would have remained a rumor until the Kenyon article just a few days ago. He gets touted for oodles of movies he's never going to do, and we don't hear about the ones he's really doing. Stop the madness.
