You don't actually see the rape at all. The only thing you see is the reaction on Charlie's face (that's at least how it's written in the Black List version).

And the scene is sort of important to show the brutality and unscrupulousness of Nigel to 'justify' what happens after.

I get that but I have personal issues with rape etc used as a plot device, even when it's realistic. Idk idk. I'll reserve judgement I guess.

Like basically every script this will almost certainly have some sort of rewrite too. So, this could change although I think the way this part is written right now works. But I can certainly see the sensibility of the topic in a movie.

I read all movie news pretty diligently and haven't heard anything of that. What's the source? If you give me a link the original source of this I can try run it by the people who published this initial news if the credibility isn't clear from that.

Having said that, the project doesn't have a director (or casting director for that matter) yet who could actually conduct auditions. And Teresa isn't high profile enough to get an attachment based on her name/draw for a movie like this.

Obviously, I'm not one of the producers so I can only go by the public info and logic but based on that I consider that BS.
