I liked this - I just love roadtrip fics, and I loved the little confrontation about Duncan. I also enjoyed that things between them aren't perfect all of sudden, but that they're trying to hang on to the good stuff anyways.

I have to ask if you got the title for this from the Snow Patrol song Set Fire to the Third Bar? Because if you did? I love it even more. The first time I heard it, I thought of L/V immediately, and I think you did a lovely job of capturing everything I love about them--the snark, the sweetness, how they'll never be normal but can find some in between and be happy with it.

The voices were spot on, and this was a very believable post-finale fic. Thanks for sharing!

Hah, it is! Everytime I listen to a song from Eyes Open, I think of L/V. I love the fact that Veronica tried so hard to be normal at the start of season two, but hardly anything turned out normal in the end. Thanks for the feedback!
