Yes, amazingly lucky. I'm very glad I bit the bullet and decided to deal with the vet bills to nurse him back to health. He is such a perfect fit for this family, with lots of rewarding moments. :)
She did! After she came back to me the lady who had rescued her and technically owned her thought I should pick the next family. I chose a young couple about half an hour away. They were trying to change her name to Juno.. don't know if it stuck yet, but they send me pictures sometimes and they sent a video of her first time in snow. We also went down so the kids could see her one more time and let her and Dexter have a playdate. Pooches picked up right where they left off and raced around like crazy. It was fun, and in the pictures they send she looks really happy. :D
