here comes trouble

Little Miss Elly decided she'd do a little walking today. She's been taking a step here or there on her own, but mostly wants to hold your hand or crawl. She thinks about walking, but I think it seems unsafe to her because, after a moment of consideration, she sits. Today she took six steps to a toy, and this evening she took a dozen or so across ( Read more... )

She's cautious enough that it'll be a few weeks before she really takes off, but it's going to be a whole new world.

Caleb was very cautious when he finally started at 15 months. It does open up a whole new world for them, though. Both wonderful and scary. I learned to move very quickly from sitting still at that time in his life!

Isaac started at about 13 months, so I'm glad Elly gave me a little more time! Today she's taken many more steps, but only when Isaac isn't around (right now he's down for a nap).

It's amazing how fast they move from tentative to zooming along faster than they can sometimes keep up for long.

Yeah, it can happen fast! Right now she's got a bit of a 'Frankinbaby' walk, which is very cute, but she gets tired very quickly and it's been impossible for me to get video.
