Genesis leaned back against the kitchen counter and eyed the fan-assisted oven with just a hint of mistrust, one hand at his hip while the other raised his half-finished glass of white wine -- keeping with the theme -- to his lips. Hm. The little apple charlottes (he'd made four individual servings) were slowly cooking at a gentle heat, but this would be the first time he'd actually used the oven since moving in. Ovens never liked to play nice. The red-had sent a silent prayer to the Goddess and begged her to watch over his puddings, not feeling the least bit ridiculous for doing so. The charlotte's had to be perfect.

He was just drifting back into the living room when he heard his laptop's little 'you've got mail' jingle -- he'd set the thing up on the coffee table for convenience -- an eyebrow cocked in curiosity as he crossed to room to perch on the edge of the couch. With the exception of Kadaj, hardly anyone sent him messages. Even then, they were rare.

When is a good time for you?Ah. Itachi. He busied himself with typing a ( ... )

The message had come a few minutes prior and he clicked a quick response one-handed. I'm on my way, but have someplace to go first, so you'll have plenty of time.He made sure he had his wallet, keys, and wrapped bottle of wine before giving Amatsuki's tail a goodbye pull to which she swiped at him with annoyance. He smiled -more a baring of teeth- at her playfully as he left, making sure not to let her make a dash for freedom. She would come back, but she just enjoyed being chased here and there until she was satisfied ( ... )

While Itachi was giving the wine store a perusal Genesis had taken it upon himself to tidy his living room a little; it hadn't been particularly messy (he wouldn't let it get messy), but the cushions on the couch were due a re-shuffle and the surfaces could have used a dust. He fluffed and wiped before gathering up any cups he'd left lying around earlier that morning... Genesis liked tea. Lots of tea ( ... )

Going up the stairs and taking a longer look at the decor this time around, Itachi gave a soft hum as he took his time. He wasn't in any real rush now, and you never knew when you'd need to know where the emergency stairs were...

He reached the door and gave it a polite double-knock. Waiting there, he looked down the hallway at a flicker of movement. A door opening and then closing again, but no one came out. Hnn. Adjusting the bottles underneath his arm, he did not deign to go investigate. Besides, the aroma coming from beneath the door was compelling. It smelled good, at least.

"I know more than enough to prevent me from making a fool of myself. Aside from the idea of me waltzing in the first place." He was quite aware that he would stand out horribly simply by his nature. He was, however, quite competent in doing the task. "It is only steps and timing. Those I can handle easily."

He was about to say, 'My hips aren't made to tango' but there were so many ways that could come back to bite him, he just left it. "Not at all," he said with a small snort that passed as a chuckle. "I'd prefer to read it and interpret it myself than watch, though only for time purposes. Otherwise I'm certainly more keen on watching the movements."

[[Time for a new thread \o/ Good morning~! Totally not morning for you anymore though... =_=]]

Genesis cleared his throat quietly to disguise a light breath of laughter; the vivid images were coming thick and fast. "No, no. I can imagine you waltzing would be, ah, quite something. Perhaps next time I'm bored and in need of entertainment..." The red-head trailed of in mock seriousness, his playfulness visible behind ice blue eyes as his gaze stroked over Itachi.

"Mm. You didn't strike me as the theatre type, but they say looks can be decieving. You, however, are clearly not being decieving enough." He shifted a little to curl more comfortably on the couch, resting his head against the back of the seat. "Do you know the poem 'Loveless'? It's my favourite poem; my copy of it is possibly my most treasured posession."

[*drops out of the sky* Well, hello. 8) Totally not morning, and yet I totally just got out of bed.]

Itachi raised his chin. "You truly wound me, Genesis. You doubt the lightness I have on my feet." He answered back just as seriously, though there was a smirk in his voice that didn't reach his face.

"Is there a reason I should be trying to deceive you?" He rolled a shoulder. "If so, please let me know. I'll gladly step up the quality of the game for you."

[[Oh you~ Loveless is an anime about virgin catboys~! But yeah, is it a real poem? Or just something from his canon?]]

Genesis just smiled a small, mysterious little smile, shaking is head ever so slightly. "Not yet. I'm enjoying the game as it is, for the moment. Save it for a rainy day," he said airily, tucking a lock of hair back behind his ear.

"And just so you know, it's not the lightness of your feet that I was doubting. It was your... ability to flow. But then again, you practise a martial art, so you must have some kind of fluidity," he said thoughtfully, more to himself than to Itachi.

[I know THAT Loveless is about virgin catboys, but FFVII Loveless is a canonly canon poem. It's quite pretty actually, and makes no sense whatsoever. Gen is canonly obsessed with it, so AU Gen likes it quite a bit too. 8')]
