Dear friends and lurkers alike

Fandom does not define who you are, you do that yourself by being beautiful and wonderful and so unique. You don't need to fit into a clique to have fun. There are so many people out there who feel just like you, so reach out and open up.

And if you're ever feeling lonely, I'll be here.

i love my flist

OH your icon reminds me! Have you read the book 'Generation Kill' was based on? It made the HBO series SO much more clear for me, and now I need to re-watch it so I fully understand it haha

No one specifically. I've seen so many sad people lately because they can't find a place to fit in and I wanted them to know that it's okay and that they're not alone. Just wanted to remind people that people do care. ♥ -hugs tight-

Those cliques can make you pretty shy and unsure of yourself, though. Especially if you're new to the fandom and don't know how it works and how much it's divided and nobody is willing to explain it to you. And even then, the more you learn about it, the more it makes you wanna just shut up and not get involved.

But you're absolutely right ♥ We should reach out more. Be less childish and more more human about it.

Oh yeah, for sure. You go into a fandom and see all these people who already have a strong relationship but my point is just that there is life beyond that specific fandom, with people who will listen to you squee and talk with you about whatever. I know personally I'll listen to my friends blab about whatever. If it makes them happy, I'm happy to listen and talk in return!

Yeah, I guess it also depends on how personal you get with particular spheres of your online life.

Sorry if I sound a bit bitter or pessimistic. I didn't mean to be negative. Just a bad mood, I guess...
I really like this post, that's why I wanted to speak up. You have my full support and I'll always do my best to listen if you need me to ♥
