I decided to make this post when the colorways for AatP's new collection "Ticking Clock ~Gears of Stardust and the Unfound Land" were revealed. Two beautiful shades of blue, a nice purple and then...
Oh I absolutely agree. When I saw Ticking Clock I immediately thought "please come in black x gray please come in black x gray" but instead they pumped out that nasty pea soup green. Now I may have a pretty unadventurous wardrobe in terms of color but I tend to save the info on really, really weird colorways just to keep for grins.
Whenever I see red x pink, I first think of Ariel from The Little Mermaid (pink dress? Red hair? WHY?). They aren't exactly complimentary colors, especially when the pink is this...reddish.
I actually like yellow, but it comes best to its right with peach, fushiapink, browns, mint, or carefully contrasted with lavender. I hate then they combine it with babyblue and pink and white, I find it too harsh and babyroom.
I think the last example properly look better irl, because it is more purpleish nightblue. But salmonpink combined with royalblue? Not sure.
The bedspread print looks like 90s clipart on a broken screen.
I like then meta makes leopard or retro items, but I find this colourway extremely harsh.
The name of the print is leopard print, doesn't help a lot. However I think it is part of Heart Leopard release from 2008. Especially because the Heart Leopard sujakan jacket has the same print.

Victorian maiden's flamingoprint. The blue version is fine, but deep pink background?
Too much Avril Lavigne.
