What with localised lolita fashion such as Wa lolita for Japan and Qi Lolita for China, I suddenly had the urge to make my own designs of localised lolita fashion for the Philippines. I was very disappointed and frustrated that the only brand that makes lolita clothing there happen to be DollDelight which aesthetically I find personally unappealing

While these designs look lovely, I wonder how they would hold up in reality. Pina is a stiff and I would say 'architectural' fabric- if you were to use piña or jusi for a bolero, it might flare oddly when combined with princess sleeves. I actually made a coord with one of the boleros sold at Kultura, here. Not to mention, if you're planning on embroidery around the edges... dang, that ain't cheap. A much lighter fabric like organza would probably be better, and to counteract the huge volume of the sleeves you'd have to put in a very, very wide skirt- but I'm interested in your take on the style (which no one has a name for, yet) and I'd love to see what you come up with.
