Input on Lolita designs?

I really the look of the tree with the pink flowers flowing across the dress but in real life I'd most likely wear the black

>///< The pink tree is my fave of the bunch so I'm glad you like the look of it! I'm actually pretty bad at gothic designs but I really want to make more religious prints and similar themes because of the largely Catholic population in the Philippines. :3 I'm stoked you would wear it~

Kamusta, kabayan :D

While these designs look lovely, I wonder how they would hold up in reality. Pina is a stiff and I would say 'architectural' fabric- if you were to use piña or jusi for a bolero, it might flare oddly when combined with princess sleeves. I actually made a coord with one of the boleros sold at Kultura, here. Not to mention, if you're planning on embroidery around the edges... dang, that ain't cheap. A much lighter fabric like organza would probably be better, and to counteract the huge volume of the sleeves you'd have to put in a very, very wide skirt- but I'm interested in your take on the style (which no one has a name for, yet) and I'd love to see what you come up with.
