Kuroeko's 2016 Wardrobe Post
This will be my 2nd wardrobe post, and also my 2nd post on Livejournal after they changed the formatting so it might get a little weird in the middle as I'm not used to this. Either way, it was a year of dresses as I snapped up most of my dream dresses and also bought and sold lots of things, I found myself selling most of my sweet and gaining more classic pieces, and after establishing some basics I just sort of bought whatever I liked. I don't have any set goals for this coming year, but probably lots more dresses! I tried to include detail pics of what I thought was the most interesting for each thing!
1st wardrobe post
First up, dresses! (In order of acquisition)
Bodyline JSK
An absolute mystery JSK that I got from a fellow lolita, I haven't seen one like it but it works for days I feel like I'm going to have to roll in the dirt in lolita, since it was dirt cheap...
Les Printemps JSK (Chess Story)
My very first real dress, and still one of my favorites, I love it so much as it's got so much detail and is made out of a thick corduroy-ish cloth, the print is vibrant and everything is detachable. Has a zipper problem, hard to zip up after the waist due to fabric bunching D:
Day Dream Carnival JSK (AP)
First dream dress acquisition! Had a nerve wracking time navigating shopping services and auctions with 0 Japanese skills. Beautiful and has a built in petti and pockets!
Sweet Cream House High Waist JSK (AP)
I bought this on an impulse and it turns out to be really easy to wear just casually! It's got cute cake lace and lots of tiny details shown in the detail shots. Only drawback is the velvet bow on top droops terribly and I don't know how to fix it...
Macaron et Mademoiselle JSK (Chess Story)
A simple JSK I bought to twin with a lovely friend! I haven't worn it out enough but it was quite cheap and well made, I like the small row of lace on top of the bodice. The buttons aren't that strong and one actually did fall off after one wear.
Star Night Salopette (AP)
One of my favorite salopettes! I love how it has a star cut out with mesh in the back, and it goes surprisingly well with lots of different items I own.
Labyrinth in the Reminiscent Mirror JSK (Btssb)
My ultimate dream dress, I nabbed it last year and nearly cried tears of joy, it's beautiful and has a shimmery chiffon. Fun fact: the chiffon flips up and I accidentally did that while taking it off.
Mon Petit Chou Chou Long Frill JSK (Btssb)
Can you tell I love too much lace? Each panel of lace is a different style of lace, like Labyrinth the print itself also flips up, but I like the weird grey-blue this is (Although nothing ever matches...)
Dreamy Luna OP (AP x Disney JP)
When I missed out on Misty Sky this was my fallback, and it's my only OP! It's pretty light, and for a collab piece for the cheaper price it does feel cheaper, nothing is detachable and the layers are quite thin. The sewing isn't perfect but at least the waistties exist to give a semblance of a waist. It's very purple, unlike the stock photos.
Mon Cher Profeseur JSK (Chess Story)
My favorite Taobao brand is Chess Story (obviously) and when I saw this I had to have it! The embroidery is gorgeous, although there are some sewing imperfections, I can overlook that for this price. The fabric is heavy and it's fully lined, and it's a nice dress for everyday wear. (The buttons are plastic but securely fastened, and it came with an extra button too).
Handkerchief Rabbit JSK (ETC)
Was curious about ETC so I bought this secondhand. Nice to wear casually, but not very lolita...Very comfortable fit though!
Misty Sky JSK (AP)
After missing out on this I was absolutely distraught but managed to get it secondhand...my only navy piece but I love wearing it! It's actually got 2 layers of lining, 2 pockets, and the bodice is cut quite low so it's hard to find blouses that have detail going that low. Also quite short.
Tricky Nightmare Factory Apron JSK (Aatp)
I fell in love with this when I saw the apron! It's detachable and made of heavyweight textured cotton. The print is also on the textured fabric Btssb normally uses, so I was pleasantly surprised. Spot the cat factory!

Tartan Salopette (Aatp)
Easy to wear salopette (I think it was from a Lucky Pack) but I bought it off of someone else. I like to wear it with daily use, it's quite warm!

Bodyline Biscuit Skirt
My starter piece in lolita, easy to wear whenever I feel like I might get dirty, and bought in conjunction with the first Bodyline JSK. Doesn't fit my style that much anymore but I just keep it around for memories.

Perfectly comfortable, I love cutsews as they can be dressed up or down.
AP (makes my boobs look really big for some reason), AP (all the ribbons are detachable! Except the ones on the wrist :c )
AP (has 6 buttons up the back of the neck, a hassle to put on and take off), AP (extremely pink...)

That's it this year! I hope to post again next year with even more dresses, photographing all these was a challenge since it kept raining, but I hope the pictures can help someone get a new dream dress or see thing they hadn't seen before in a dress ovo/ !
