I am not sure when you ordered, but 2-3 month processing time for an item that comes from taboao is normal. (If my-lolita-dress has your item in stock, it is faster because they just have to send it to you.) I usually have my items made in custom size because I am plus size, and my order from beginning of July from a different reseller has still not arrived because one item was made in the wrong size and has to be re-done completely.
There is nothing you can do to receive your item faster, unfortunately... And in my country, there is always a little uncertainity how long the extra steps with for customs might take..
I would highly recommend that you start working on a "plan B" outfit for the event, e.g. buying a dress second hand from egl sales / a local swap and buy meet / facebook lolita sales that matches with the items you had planned to use for the dress from my-lolita-dress.
If she is telling you that the dress is a pre-order, that means that it wasn't made when you ordered it. So taking this long is pretty normal, actually. There are many things that can go wrong in the process of actually making the dresses, having them sent from the factory to the Taobao store, and then distributing them to buyers. There really is no point in trying to rush Linda; unfortunately there is nothing to be done in this situation.
Yeah, basically what the others have said is right. I even ordered some An*tai*na shoes through my lolita dress and they took 2 weeks longer than planned.. but Linda couldn't really do anything about it because the delay was with Antaina. Though, I also asked for express shipping to Australia and never recieved a tracking number for the shoes or another order but they turned up a few days ago.
I think your best bet would be to maybe express to Linda that you're a little stressed and ask her if there is anything she can do about it. And as someone else said, work on a backup and you could always wear your convention coord to another con (like Goldnova) or a meet :)
Thanks guys, yeah I did apologize to her as I understand she can't know where it is if she doesn't have it or hurry it along, I am just stressed. I guess I have to hope and pray it comes in time because it still could, and I don't want to change my dress.
I have no money to get another dress, really, none. All my pay is going into a holiday and I can't use any of it, so that's why I'm stressed aha.
And I didn't realize that the taobao sellers were making the dress, I thought that if it was pre-order and was being sent through taobao then it just meant it was coming from them and that my-lolita-dress was not making it, not taobao sellers making it and then selling it
I had an issue with them just now. I ordered a witch hat on the 1st of October which I needed for the 17th. The item's page clearly stated "in stock, processing time is 3-6 days" and I choose the express shipping which takes usually about 3-4 days. I didn't have any notice from Linda for almost 2 weeks then I asked her where is my item. She said something like oh sorry it's not in stock and asked for what time I need it. I got very upset and replied that it's not urgent anymore because there was no way to get it to me for the date I needed it. Some days later I told her that if it's possible please refund my money. She replied that sorry but the hat's been shipped out already and that she will send me the tracking number later which she never did and I got the hat on the 26th of October and I hate it so much that I can't even look at it. So I think I'm never going to order from that site anything anymore.
