Irrational 'I NEED THAT ON MY BODY RIGHT NOW' Dresses

Oct 01, 2015 11:37

Ever spotted a dress that caught your fancy, even thought they're radically outside of what you usually wear? You have zero idea why you love it so much, and it's radically outside your 'safe zone', but you can't get it out of your mind's eye. Perhaps your closet is exclusively black and Mana blue, but Meta's Heart Leopard series hooked its claws ( Read more... )

Same here, I often sigh at the new AP releases - I looooove the prints, but the cuts are just too "kawaii" for my toned down gothic/classic mix. It's often that I envy the pinky prints also, but I know for a fact that I would get no wear out of them. I am barely wearing my Wonder story print jsk even though it's black colorway, I find it hard to wear pink or something with such contrasting print.. I guess I'm not brave enough..

AP for sure, I love their prints but recently the high waisted cuts are too much.
What calls to me is still super sweet and true gothic like Moitie. I can't pull off true all black, heavy gothic coords, for whatever reason, just doesn't look good on me.
Which is why I stick to the gothic prints that have some wiggle room in terms of being "light gothic", like Meta's Dark Night, that's as "gothic" as I can get.

Dreamy Planetarium in Galaxy. XD I strongly prefer solids and old school but there's something amazing about cat and unicorn constellations.

Also anything that's modern sweet or kind of gyaru inspired. Very, very not me, lol.

Any of AP's low waist JSK's just make me swoon even though the prints are so over the top! Even Meta's Pink lemonade made me sit and stare longingly while simultaneously bemoaning my bank account status... I just love how flattering that low waist style is and it's so uncommon that I want to buy every single one even if they are a saccharin sweet print... I'm looking at you dolly cat!

Elpress L and their OTT white/pale dresses, I swear... it's so over the top and way too many frills for me personally (besides, I like prints versus solids, and I mainly wear navy?) but I just gotta have those frills, man. Alternatively, I also like OTT white dresses uwu~

I've been eyeballing some of their OTT white dresses for my wedding dress, not going to lie. Same with Surface Spell's big white chiffon gowns. UGH. Sorry David's Bridal, I'm a lace-hound. *A*

I feel you so hard on that! Wedding dresses are my weakness, even though I'm ages away from marrying (and I probably won't have a wedding either tbh). There's just something about the massive amount of decoration on them that screams "I'm a level 10 princess"
Good luck with finding your dress! And I hope you have a wonderful wedding~

Thank you!

The best thing about buying a lolita wedding dress is that you can wear it over and over again in other coords, minus some accessories or with other colors, and no one will be any the wiser.
