Winter Coordinate Accessory Advice Please?

Hello everyone! I'm going to be attending my very first Lolita meetup later this week, and since I'm new to the fashion and want to make a good impression, I'd like to request some advice regarding accessories.

Deer and other animal ears/antlers are usually only worn if the animal itself is on the dress somehow, or if the coord is forest-y. I wouldn't add them just like that, it'd look out of place I think. Also, the brown shows are kind of an odd choice for the all navy and silver coord, I'd probably try to find some navy, silver, or neutral black shoes.
That said, I really like the rest of the coord, that dress is lovely! It looks really nice on you :)

You're right, it does look gold in that picture. Weird. It's definitely silver, like the embroidery!

Those antlers are seriously cute, so I don't see why it should be a problem! I'd say that you should wear whatever you feel comfortable and happy in, and if people look down on you (which I doubt they will) they're just rather silly. After all, this fashion is for having fun and experimenting with! :)
(We're having a massive heat wave over in England, and I'm getting extra hot just thinking about a navy velvet Lolita dress. XD It's far too hot for Lolita where I am, so I'm a little envious.)

That antler thing is absolutely adorable!!! I agree that it doesn't really match the dress though. Same with the shoes.
Also, are the blouse and the tights also navy? Or are they black? (My computer screen makes it hard to tell.) It looks great though!
For an alternate headdress, I was thinking the pin thing on the collar of your dress? I don't know if it actually doubles as a hairclip, but I know a lot of lolita-specific pins are both. It'd look cute clipped just below where the crown would be.

I reckon the pin/brooch thing would definitely look good as a hairclip, great suggestion!! Unfortunately it's only got a safety pin, not a hairclip, and I don't quite trust myself not to destroy it with hot glue in the process of adding one. Maybe once I've had a bit more crafty practice :)

Though the antlers and crown are super cute, I would have to agree that they don't really have a place in the coord. As far as the shoes go, I actually like how they match your hair (haha), so if you want to keep them, I would suggest bringing the brown in elsewhere. For example, do you perhaps have a brown blouse? You could also go with a beret or some other hat for the top, which you can further accessorize to bring in more of the silver and brown (should you keep it). That's my two cents, enjoy the meetup!
