Hello, Lolitas! :) I've been in Lolita for five years, but I've only just signed up to EGL. Please tell me if I'm doing something wrong in posting this, as I'm not so familiar with forums and Livejournal in general

Thank you so much for sharing that film! I had never heard of it, but the story sounds very intriguing. I had a quick skip through the film and goodness, there is such a lolita-esque feeling about some of the clothes and interiors! Definitely "eyecandy" as you say! My French is a bit naff but I will certainly give this a full watch some time!
This is probably a rather typical choice, but I always really loved the 1995 film adaptation of A Little Princess! It has such a magical, dreamy atmosphere, and there are some beautiful outfits in it that make me think of lolita :)
That's great! I was hoping that it would be new to somebody. :D I'll warn you that it's quite disturbing in some parts, especially towards the end. There isn't much blood, but yeah, it's just creepy... Don't worry too much about the French though; there isn't a LOT of dialogue in there, but I admit that it does get a bit difficult to understand at times without subtitles.
Oh, I haven't heard of that film before! With a search through Google images I know that it's going to be a good source for Lolita inspiration! Thanks for sharing, I'll need to find it sometime.
Oh, that's cool! I read that post a while ago and forgot it was there. :D I suppose there are only fleeting glimpses of the Lolita, but at least there is one in a 'mainstream' film!
Ooh, I've heard of that one before and it's on my to-watch list! I just love films with Rococo/Georgian dresses - it makes me want to be a costume designer! :D

Phantom of the Opera never fails to give me a bit of lolita inspiration! Especially the 25th Anniversary edition starring Sierra Boggess!
