Antaina Shoe Sizes once and for all!

Hello you guys!

So, I'm a EU size 42-43 (US 10,5. My feet are 28 cm), and I'm looking to purchase a pair of Antaina shoes, but I cannot for the life of me figure out if they usually run small, or just right! Last time I ordered a pair of their shoes in a size 42, and they were small enough that they were unwearable to me. This time I don't want to ( Read more... )

I've bought 2 pairs of Antaina shoes (some knee high winter boots) - the same model twice, once for me and once for my friend.
The shoe fitted me, but if I would order again, I would pick it one size bigger, as the shoe itself was wearable, but not really comfortable. My friend had the same experience as me, again it was possible to wear the shoes, but it would be more comfortable to have one size bigger.

I don't know if they have it at all shoes, but I wouldn't be afraid of getting the size 43. With the 44 I'm not so sure, but definitely don't buy 42!

I have had this exact same experience. I bought a pair of rocking horse shoes.

Hi! Most of my shoes are from Antaina so I hope I can help you a bit :)

I buy a 40 or 41 EU size in normal shops, but for Chinese brand I have to buy a size bigger (41/42). From my experience, for Chinese and Japanese shoes you always have to add one size to your standard EU size.

About Antaina, I noticed how their shoes fit also according on materials: their matte black PU is very soft compared to their lighter colors.
So, I buy 41 for matte black shoes (and sandals - Antaina make them roomy), 42 for shoes in other colors and boots (according to this, you should buy 43 for black shoes and sandals, 44 for boots and shoes in light colors).
Since now this rule worked for me, but keep in mind that shoes fitting is very subjective, especially for medium quality brands as Antaina >_

Wow, thank you for your in-depth response! Seems like I'll be getting the 44, then, as the shoes are light pink :D This sounds like a pretty safe rule to go by.

Thank you once again!

If you look at any shoe size conversion chart, Chinese sizes are a size above EU ones. For example, I'm a UK size 5, which is an EU size 38 and a Chinese size 39. I've got four pairs of shoes ordered in size 39 from An*Tai*Na and all of them fit. I've never had any problems with them sizing small, although I did end up putting insoles in a pair of boots from them because the soles were too hard.

This is just speculation, but you may have been told to order a 47 due to the lack of different sizes. I'm not sure that Antaina do as many sizes as they list, I think it's just S, M, L, LL. When I tried on my (Japanese) 23.5/M they were a little tight, but they were swimming in the size above and so I bought the M and now they are fine :).

*I have found the sizes to be similar to those of Bodyline, running smaller than conversion charts suggest - it seems that UK 4/ Euro 37 actually = Japanese 23.5, not 22.5.*

Thank you for posting this, as I was a little confused. Every time I order a pair of shoes, the sizing is not right. Usually they are too smal, but last time they were way too big! I will ask them before ordering next time.

Well, I wear a US 12, bodyline 27, antaina 45. I think you must be wrong about your US size? 28 cm just can't be a 10.5, if your feet are really 28 cm long you must be bigger than my sizes, and 47 is likely right.
