I was checking TaoBao shops and I chanced upon some very BRIGHT! steam loli pieces by Classical Puppets. Whether this is awesome or itaaaaa is up to your personal opinion- but I thought that the color itself was novel enough to post. The last Steam thread was in 2012(?) I believe, and I didn't want to necro that.

Frankly the overdress is my favorite from their release too; though I'm not sure how sturdy such a dress made entirely of organza (or chiffon?) will be, or if the print will flake off. It seems so delicate, but I do adore that POOOF shape XD CP has been turning out steampunk-inspired stuff for some time I think, like corsets and their bizarre victorian bustle petticoat (dunno how that's supposed to work). But there hasn't been much that stands out enough to warrant posting, till now.

If I remember correctly, you have sewing experience, am I right? o: What would be your opinion on a piece like this made entirely of organza? It seems so swishy and delicate, I worry it may need delicate handling, and I've never heard of prints being done on this material before.

I think if a steampunk print/design tries to hard it can end up looking tacky.

I adore that overdress more than anything else in Classical Puppets' release, but as I mentioned in my replies to the comments above, it seems so delicate. I am kind of a klutz (cramped public transport does not help) and so I prefer fairly tough clothes, those that can take washing and everyday wear-and-tear.
I agree with you about steampunk designs. I feel like there's a thinner boundary between steampunk fashion and costume than there is with typical lolita styles. It is pretty hard to go overboard with Sweet for example (teddy bears on your head; uh huh totally normal~)
