Hello, I am very new to Livejournal, and the community, so I hope I don't step on any toes! I have a few questions related to a skirt I'm sewing for Easter, and GLB patterns in general. ( Any help is appreciated! )
It appears that seam allowance is included for this pattern. (You can see it where there's the cut on folds.) I would take the 'left zipper only' to be leaving open the seam to the zipper marking until you install it. It does look like there maybe elastic in the waist, but I would check the supplies list to be sure.
What that sentence means is that you need to open the seam on the left side (of the skirt) where the zipper need to be sewn on later, after you finish ironing pressing that particular seam. I am not sure how experience you are with sewing, but you suppose to sew that seam first, press iron it and open it up (with a seam ripper) to the indicated length given on the pattern after you done with ironing. You can sew invisible zipper on after that. (For normal zipper the steps is slightly different)
Regarding pattern, if I remember correctly most ones from GLB already include seam allowance since they only come in one size. The GL sewing & Otome sewing don't come with any since you need to put them in yourself.;)

I do have elastic in my materials list, so as far as I know, it should be half elastic. Again, thank you so much!
