Hi,

Yes, I was super disappointed because they look so cheap :( especially since I paid quite a bit for them too.

I just want to get rid of these tights, but the seller doesn't accept exchanges or refunds. I wouldn't want to deal with an exchange though because of Canada Post. I wish I do get a partial refund on the shipping and the quality of the item since I might as well wear them now.

I just wanted to share my experience with others so they wouldn't get ripped off as well. I would not buy any tights from Hello June again. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy these tights, unless they were on sale.

You're welcome!

I was really disappointed being overcharged for the shipping. If the image quality was great then I wouldn't have mind as much but it wasn't. I just can't believe they shipped out the tights looking like this. What horrible quality control, especially since they claim that they look over the tights before sending them out!

Thanks for the review! I really love chocolate-themed things but I'm glad I didn't purchase these tights before reading your post. The quality is pretty sketchy for a $30 pair. I might buy them if they go on sale for $15 though.

As for the shipping issue, when I sell I sometimes overestimate the shipping cost, just to make sure I'm not short any funds when I go to send off the item (since I don't have a postal scale at home and I can't calculate the exact cost ahead of time), but then when I get the real price from the post office, I will refund the extra to the buyer. You should ask the seller if this is possible (i.e. have them refund the $2-3 you are probably owed).

I haven't asked about the shipping refund, since on the website they claim not to do refunds or exchanges. I just wouldn't buy anything from them again because of the quality and being overcharged the shipping cost.

Refund and exchange clauses are usually for the product and should not exempt them from overcharging you on shipping. If you paid through paypal, paypal has in their terms that buyers are allowed to dispute overcharge on shipping unless the invoice specifies "shipping AND HANDLING". Your invoice seems to just state "shipping", so you should be covered by Paypal to recoup the excess shipping that they charged. If they don't, paypal can suspend their account on the basis of the seller violating paypal's selling ToS ( ... )

Thanks Amy,

I sent out a message to the seller about getting a partial refund from the shipping costs. I hope they will get back to me and resolve this or I guess I have to go straight to paypal!

Not worth $30 and that overcharge for shipping...I don't even know what to say. They should have known you'd see the price on the package. =/
Really, I think you're being to nice with giving them a neutral.

Yes,

I was actually going to give this review a negative at first but didn't go through it. I guess I am being too nice. I thought my points weren't strong enough for a negative (when I think of a negative, I see a milanoo situation).

I am unsure exactly to do in my situation. I thought this review might bring awareness to others about the quality of the tights. Hopefully, Hello June will improve because they have lost a customer and potential ones as well. I really do feel ripped off!

I rarely buy off-brand items but after this experience is just making me want to stick with brand even more.!

Not to be a debbie downer -- but I can understand the price of the tights and kinda what probably happened with the shipping! While I think she probably should have done her research a little better (different regions in different countries have different shipping fees, ya?) the prices don't seem TOO outlandish to me. She probably has a set 'international' price that piggy backs any international order that comes in. Shipping to Europe from the USA would have cost her about that much -- and possibly a bit more to non union counties as well. I think I charge somewhere in the $11-12 dollar range for Mexico and Canada -- but then again I also use my own packaging supplies (I hate the USPS ones -- they suck, and the pink packaging is way cuter and lasts better overseas).

Anyway, the tights look like they're emulsion printed -- not screen printed, which is probably why they're a lot more expensive than let's say someone like TejaJamilla (her tights are awesome btw) who screen prints her tights, herself (making the production costs much ( ... )

Yeah NP! Her tights are super high quality -- I purchased a pair at Frill (a lolita convention here in the states) and fell in love with them! Totally worth every penny :)
