Thanks for the review. I highly agree with everything you said about the Haenuli JSK. I had the same length issue with my JSK (and I usually side on too tall for standard lolita dress bodices). I plan to try it on again with a bridal corset underneath to see if having something more rigid to lay against will help with the fit of the bodice. The neckline is much to high to fix it by making the shoulder straps shorter, so I agree that it's kind of...disappointing that way ( ... )

I'm glad to help :D
About the Haenuli jsk yeah, if you move the buttons the neckline goes too high and it's weird anyway..I usually don't mind longer bodice because I'm tall too but this is really too long :\ the corset could be a good idea :D

About Baroque I think they will ship your items togheter right? I discovered when they shipped the dress through facebook then I emailed them..
I was afraid to find print problems so I'm very happy with this dress! With the print at least, the measurements are all wrong ^^"

Baroque already charged me for shipping, so as long as they ship both my JSK and my skirt, I don't really mind if they come together or separate. I really hope they gave you the wrong size JSK as well since I got the same size and the measurements you took would be HUGE.

I read through a whole bunch of Baroque reviews before I emailed them my reservation. I had really hoped that there wouldn't be any problems (least of which print and construction issues that were quite common on their pearl drops release). At least sizing problems means that if it really doesn't fit me, I can sell it and try to get my money back that way. It's the primary reason I keep getting the skirt versions as well. Much less issue with fit to worry about, and even if it's too big, alterations are usually not very expensive on just a waist band. =3

Bad news, they said "I think your Jsk maked littlebit bigger than others;_;...the dresses are made by people, one by one, some times this kind of mistake happened. "
I hope you get the right size and they will make something for my dress -__-

Great review ! It's really nice to be able to compare the two stained glass dresses from the two korean brands !

Thanks for the reviews! I got the Haenuli JSK in black and I love it. I had been considering getting the Baroque one too but I wasn't sure if I wanted to risk it after they had the problems with Pearl Drops. With the Baroque dress you said that the velvet was so thin that you could see the white fabric underneath - did you mean the lining fabric is white? I have seen velvet that is really thin like that before but not very often.

You're welcome ^^ I understand and share your hesitation. About the fabric..mm how I can explain it..the black velvet "furs" are attached to the fabric and this fabric is white. I think normally you shouldn't see the base of the velvet fabric because the one that some brands usually use is thicker but this one is so thin that you can see it when you stretch the fabric (the places where you can notice this problem the most are near the seams and shirrings). Sorry if it's confusing xD the lining is black :)

I did actually get the Pearl Drops JSK and I was fairly lucky (the print only had 1 small noticable messy spot for me) but I just wanted to wait and see how their next few releases come out before I thought about buying from them again.

I understand the fabric now! I thought it was the lining but it's more like the 'backing' that's white. That's a bit strange so I didn't think of that at first. I hope the white it isn't too noticable when you wear it? Although it does sound fairly thin. It's still a beautiful dress even with that fabric and the print is gorgeous!

I agree the dress is still beautiful :) The only places where it's noticeable are near the seams and on the sleeves (I added a picture)

Wait... you gave that Baroque dress a 4.5? Despite the fact that it has such thin fabric you can see what's underneath, the back corset lacing is a travesty all around, and it was manufactured to GROSSLY the wrong size? I'm sorry if this comment sounds a little snippy but frankly I'm startled and confused: is there anything GOOD about the dress besides the print?

Yes I gave 4 points out of 5. I didn't consider the size in my vote because I'm pretty sure they sent me the wrong order. About the fabric I didn't express the concept properly, the fabric is not see-through, please refer to the answer I gave above. The fabric is thin and not the best quality for the price I've paid but still good looking to me as the print is perfect on it :) Plus the construction is good, the back frill is gorgeous, the lace is nice. The biggest con is the lack of shirring but it's not so important to give the dress a barely sufficient vote such 3/5. That's my opinion, I still would recommend this dress ^^

Plus they stated that it was made of poly velvet from the beginning and I'm a huge ignorant about fabrics so probably it's something normal for this kind of fabric. I should post a picture to explain it better ^^

I understand, although I personally would not have been as thrilled with the dress if I had received it. I might also be a little reactionary toward the sizing problem, because when I ordered Pearl Drops On Dry Flowers from Baroque, I too received the wrong size. They seem to have problems with shipping orders correctly. All in all, if I had received this order, I would have been much less thrilled than an overall 4.5, but I respect your opinion. :)

Yep, I figured the Haenuli JSK would be too long in the bodice just by looking at the pictures. It doesn't even fit properly on the models if you look closely. All their dresses seem to be that same cut too, and I really can't figure out why they don't change it. Did you tell them about it?

I totally didn't think of it when I first saw the pictures because it's so unusual :\ However I've bought their sleeping beauty jsk in the past and the bodice isn't so long and it fits way better.
No I didn't tell them about it since it's not an issue that concerns only me but I can try to give them the advice I guess :)
