Question regarding AP's upcoming Lucky Packs

Dec 12, 2012 21:17

Hello, I'm finally ready to make my first 'brand' purchase. Since I have a bigger bust, I decided I'll get (or at least try to get) the Angelic Pretty 'Dream Fantasy' salopette set for the stated reason. The problem is, I tried to get a LP last year with no luck as they sold out instantly. I'm wondering if I should get a shopping service since they ( Read more... )

I just want to advise you that the salopette in this pack looks like it's going to have a shorter "bib" section than the past 2 LPs, so that it is sort of an underbust, which can sometimes look awkward on girls with larger chests, especially if you're over like 5'4". I'm in a similar situation, I've been trying to find pictures of this style of salopette worn by bustier girls.

You're probably not going to find a shopping service this late in the game either.

Sorry to be such a debbie downer :\ Just keep F5ing like me.

I just noticed that, but it if the straps are adjustable I *think* I can work around it, if not, I'd sell it. I'm 5'2", could that be a problem?

And don't worry about it! Ii prefer honesty instead of a 'go ahead and buy it' (:
Thanks!

It's cool, I am still kicking myself for missing out last year because at the time I just wasn't interested in AP, so I'm going to try to get one this year and see how it suits me. I'm 5'4" and a little chesty myself. I've seen some people pull off the underbust salopette look so it's not impossible, just probably depends on height, bodyshape, measurements, etc.

Heyo! Sort of unrelated, but I've been looking for luckypack info and haven't found any. Could one of you guys maybe link me to it? :)

Like the poster above mentioned, you don't have enough time to try to secure a shopping service, as the lucky packs come out online a few hours from now. You could try the AP International site -- usually they put up lucky packs at the same time as the Japanese shopping site, or just a few minutes later. In fact, the AP international site may be a bit cheaper than ordering from the San Francisco store, as PayPal's exchange rate is surprisingly more favorable than AP SF's mark-up (enough so that you are still saving money even after international shipping ( ... )

Still better to get them from the international shopping site, in my opinion, although that is good information for anyone who may have missed them on the int'l site and wants to take a second shot at buying them online. :P

I actually didn't even know you could buy them from the int'l site....cause then...what's the point of a shopping service? Just because it opens a few minutes earlier? xD
I actually did end up going thru a shopping service....I can't wait to see how awful the shipping is haha

With resale, I guess the fairest thing to do is think about what retail price for all the items would be usually and then compare that to the lucky pack price, and discount accordingly

Say for example you get a skirt and a cutsew and socks in a lucky pack for 10000 yen, normal retail price of a skirt is about 15000 yen, cutsew maybe 7000 yen, socks 3000 yen. So the total value is 25000 yen but you only paid 10000 yen, so it pretty much means everything is discounted to 40% of its original price. So if you decided to sell the cutsew a fair price would be about 2800 yen, which would be 40% of the original value. Same with the skirt and socks. However, if certain things are more or less popular (e.g. a printed skirt is seen as a "main" item whereas loliable cutsews are easy to find on taobao) you could ask for slightly more.
