Chess Story and Qutieland vs. Taobao sizing question [Update 9.21!]

Sep 20, 2012 05:03

So this JSK is in stock at Qutieland in a size L-XL, even though on Chess Story's Taobao, they only have size M in stock. Does that mean that Qutieland actually has some in size L-XL already, or are they only in stock per what their Taobao page says?

This is their Little Ballet Summer JSK.

If you're over the max don't do it.

I'm really cautious about doing it because I am just barely over, but it has shirring in the back, so I don't know how much more it could stretch.

I emailed qutieland to ask them if they actually have L-XL in stock. If they do I'll just bite the bullet and get it from qutieland instead, and just not order the S-M off taobao.

And I just checked the measurements of this BL jsk I have that has shirring in the back, it's exactly the same size listed as the Little Ballet JSK and I fit it, the shirring isn't even fully stretched surprisingly. So I don't know.

I have Chess Story's marriage JSK in size S~M. It's baggy on me, and the shirring isn't stretched at all. I have an 88 cm bust; 69 cm waist. So, I'm guessing their quality control for sizing must not be very good if 90 cm is supposedly the normal max.

Wow ok. That's good to know. Thanks. :>

How's the print quality on the Marriage JSK?

The print is fairly crisp. It looks clean when you're wearing it. Up close the edges of the black sort of fade to grey before fading to the cream color. It definitely doesn't look blurry from a decent distance (like... two feet), though.

My unwarranted full opinion on the marriage JSK: The bodice is longer than most lolita JSKs and the fabric reminds me of thin bed sheets. The bodice waist gets wrinkles if I even slouch slightly (5'6"ish tall). The side-waist ribbons are like the kind you get to wrap presents with. It 'fits' a petticoat, but the bottom doesn't flare out properly since there isn't enough fabric gathered for a true lolita silhouette. The pearly buttons look gaudy/plastic in real life.

But I do love the headdress I got with it. I'm almost wondering if my dress is a fluke of production since I received it a lot sooner than I'd anticipated... It's quite possible that the blue dress you're interested in would be constructed better than this lump of fabric I've obtained. ^__^;;

I pre-ordered the white Mariage JSK on Facebook but I haven't received it yet. May I ask when you got the package and from what SS? D:
