What is the weirdest thing you have experienced while wearing lolita?

We have seen people talk about good and bad things happen to them in lolita. But what I would like to hear now is:
What is the weirdest thing you have experienced while wearing lolita?
You know, a experience that made you think something like "What the h*ll just happen O____o?"

Not the best, not the worst, but the WEIRDEST... )

Once, as I was searching for plasters in a small shop at a train station, the man working behind the cash corner actually always walked around where I was was and as I went to the cash corner, he looked and me and said: "OMG, you really are existing. I was wasn't so sure whether I was dreaming or not."

You should have been like, "Baby, I am a dream," and then run away as fast as you can to make him question your existence again.

The only weird things I have happen are people asking my dear old mother how old I am. "Oh your little girl is so incredibly cute! Did you pick out that dress? Where can I get one for my granddaughter? She's 6, she can't be much younger than your daughter." And I'm standing there mouth agape just like O.o wut. My mom normally just laughs and tell people how old I am. I know my mom looks like she's in her late 20's and I know that I'm short, but I mean I don't look like I'm 6. I look at least 12. And I'm still a lot older than 12. We are both proctically twice the age we look.

I dress for the wrong time period in normal clothes. people are more hateful to me out of lolita than in it. probably because of my giant leather jacket i wear everywhere.

I know! A lot of people are worried about what people will think of them in lolita, but people are rude enough when I wear normal clothes so who cares if it's when I'm in lolita?

Oh man, this actually happened yesterday!

For reference, I live in Kentucky. I was at the bus stop on my way to school in black x white old school sweet. A stereotypical 'redneck truck' rolled by. You've seen them I'm sure. About thirty years old and looks like it's been rolled down a mountain, complete with a completely full truck bed of random shit strapped down. They slowed down a hair, as they go by, this is all as usual so far. A traffic light has stopped them about 30 feet farther down.

THEN THEY WENT IN REVERSE ON A MAJOR ROAD TO GET A BETTER LOOK.

So now their driver's side window is level with me. About five seconds pass with me spazzing out mentally. I decide to wave at them, because I might as well acknowledge my audience haha. They gave me double thumbs up, and then rolled back down to the line at the traffic light. I don't even.

Lol I guess so! At the time I was thinking *please let these people not throw anything at me* I was thinking of the many stories about that.

oh my god that happened to me on saturday when i was waiting for a bus in cosplay with a friend. these dudebros slowed down, rolled down their windows, mouthed "what the fuuuuck" and drove off. they came back around, did it again, parked in the parking lot behind us, came out, and asked for our pictures. it was amazing. i thought i was gonna have to call the cops but NO THEY WERE SO NICE HAHAA.

I wouldn't say its the weirdest story I have, but its the one I thought of first after reading yours. At the Comic Con meet up last year a really nerdy guy, whos probably only interactions with females is at cons or online, came up and asked us if we where some kinda super heroes. After all of us giving him the correct answer, Japanese fashion blah blah blah..., he continued to bug us about what comic we where from. When it was starting to become uncomfortable and possible that he might follow us I turned to him, looked him straight in the eyes, and as seriously as possible said "Yea, we are super heroes. My super power is to shoot lasers out of my eyes." He scurried off after that.

Is amazing how people will insist on thinking you are a character even if you already told them you aren't and explained to them XD

Haha, I was at the Natural History Museum just the other day! I didn't have any experiences quite so perplexing (and I was actually in mori-girl!), but the bag-checker at the security desk (though he had a look in the rest of my group's bags) waved me off without checking the straw basket I was using as a purse that day! I suppose he couldn't fathom the idea of some kind of delinquent country-bumpkin, haha?

Other than that, there was a time when a pre-teen sort of kid shouted at me as I passed him "GO BACK TO THE 1960s!" while I was in country-lolita, I think he really mustn't have been paying much attention to his history classes at school! ☺

Also quite recently I got a rather amusing comment from a passing drunk while I was heading home from a meet with my sister, I believe he said: "W-why are you dressed fun?", I liked that one!

Hey Amy 8D this is Roxana! xDD that was pretty epic. I also really loved this mother from the inside out exhibit who wanted to be a mori girl too, I thought that was really cute. :3 Idk if you saw her as well, she was asking me and Donna about our outfits.

The second comment actually makes me worry what kids are learning are learning at school these days D:

And every day should be a day to dress fun! >.>

Not just kids, I've had adults older than me comment about why I was dressed medieval. @_@ When I was clearly Victorian.
