Christmas gifts for Lolitas

Dec 07, 2011 15:31

Christmas is just behind the corner and everybody is busy picking gifts!

And I have to confess to not knowing what to buy for certain Lolita acquaintances. Now, I'm not asking for help in picking gifts for friends - I know my friends and I know what they'd like to get.

How about scented lotions and body sprays? Bath and Body has a wonderful Paris scent that puts me in the mood for frills! Or how about a fancy baking mix, which is fun and a nice gift to get, but then its also easy to re-gift if the person has allergies. The other thing you could get is something tea or coffee related... or maybe some fancy hot cocoa and peppermint sticks to go with!

The soap making thing actually seems pretty cool! Maybe write out a list of the ingredients/materials and include it just in case? Most of the Secret Santas I've been apart of have the opportunity to gift swap, so. That could completely solve your problem there?

I'll also go on and second the suggestion for a fancy hot cocoa mix. It's seasonally appropriate and easy to regift if someone has allergies. Or you could skip the food/bath product route altogether and get a cute teacup and saucer. They're generally pretty cheap and easy to find at second hand shops, and if it was wrapped up nicely, I'm sure it could be very Lolita.

Good luck!

Thanks for the link, but handmade soaps function somewhat differently than factory-made ones :)
