Customs doesn't so much depend on how you buy things but on where they going or where they came from.

Also how much they cost (or that it's stated that they cost) and what shipping company you use

I read the good reviews and bought an ITS petti before they closed, but I actually don't like it that much. It is made from tulle so it deflates quickly, and the shape is kind of wonky. You kind of have to wear a second petti underneath to "fill it out" if you know what I mean.

This is really good to know!
I don't have a second petticoat to wear with it (yet) so I guess I will have to find something else first :)

Considering the price I have to agree that you're right about the whole 'you get what you pay for'-thing.
I think I will opt for a bit more expensive petticoat instead (maybe Malco Modes)

And thank you for the explanation of customs, I wasn't sure if handmade would get customs (because usually handmade is well..handmade and not mass production) but now I understand it :)

i could probably provide photos later but I own TWO ITS petticoats. I purchased one new in 2008. The other second hand used on the comm sales. They are both still poofy. I leave them hanging upside down the night before I wear them to maximize...poofage?

How do you hang them upside down? Wouldn't gravity just force them to turn inside out? :D

:p I just turn them inside out with the crionline hanging down. When I flip them back the right way they're back to being poofy.

I own two and I don't like them. They are good to layer. They puff dies really fast. You'd be better off getting one from Taobao.

Mine are from when they had a site, so I don't know of they got better.
