Oh god, kill it with a spoon. That article is horrid. They have got their Lolita mixed up. Unless their idea of a non short skirt is ankle length.
"girls dress in outfits often attuned to maids or nurses uniform, tailored for a sexy look and cheap, too-short dresses, overly high heels and bunny ears" This person is confused.
Yeah....I don't think they have nice opinions on the American lolitas. I seriously thought we improved on the way we dressed in the fashion. Apparently not according to this article. xD
I almost feel like I agree with this. The other day i was wondering how it got chosen to be called "lolita", and I dont think many can actually explain how/why its called that way, rather than saying its "neo-Victorian"
i do think the rest of the article is rubbish, and has some poor, poor grammar to add to it.
Agreed-the writing is terrible along with the grammar. I'm still irked about many of the parts in this article. I'm starting to see how another poster said it may have been intentionally written like this though.
You would think by 2010, there would be more decent lolita articles out there but alas it's not. The best one as of late was the article written by an Australian lolita.

It really seems like it's trying to say "well American Lolitas SAY it's not about sex, but look at these sites! It really is!"
Would it kill a reporter to do research?
