Oh great. Now I have to re-set my OutQ preset. Dumb company. The comedy channels can be nice on a (lonely) long drive, but I doubt I'll like what runs on the Jamie Foxx one.

I'm not sure when the unnecessary Jamie Foxx channel premiers. It says "sometime this spring." I guess when they name a date, the OutQ channel change will be announced. All of Sirius Channels have moved around a bit since I've started subscribing. I guess they just want to keep the comedy channels together. I bet they will move it closer to the Cosmo and Martha channels.

I know that they are trying to get another bit of niche programming, something you can't get on regular radio (hence OutQ in the first place), but I'd gladly lose NASCAR and Maxim and a few others to get a more complete '90s channel and a true Adult Alternative channel - the Pulse doesn't quite cut it. It's something that XM has that I wouldn't mind having on Sirius. Oh, and better dance/electronic channels.

thank god i'm not the only one that was repulsed by Dakota Fanning's screaming - War of the worlds would have been an alright movie if it had not been for that.

boo on having to change my sirius presets. And boo on sirius for making OutQ have to change all their promos now.

War of the World just didn't make sense. I understand what Spielburg was doing, try to take a family in crisis and put them in a situation that is a sci fi metaphor for terrorism and war, but the movie just didn't work. Cruise trying to play action-hero-as-dad and Dakota whelping all the while just didn't set the right tone. Lastly, I get the whole thing of having the creatures ships underground - more of the terror from where you least expect it, but it so didn't make sense. No one found these things while surveying or digging? Crazy.

Yeah, I guess OutQ has some work to do. hopefully they will find a replacement for John McMullen's show too, replacing it with that sappy love songs junk is terrible. I can get that on Sirius Love if I ever wanted it!

Dreamgirls? Haven't seen it yet and don't know if I will. I saw it twice on Broadway and any movie will have a lot to do to measure up. I'm afraid it won't transfer well to film. And Jennifer Hudson may be great, but no one hold a candle to Jennifer Holliday, who originated the role.

Heros? Lost interest long ago!

Greys Anatomy? I've never seen it and don't care.

Sirius? WHY???? It's bad enough I have to pay for TV...I'm definitely not paying for radio!!

I'm sure Dreamgirls is fine, it just isn't something I run out to see. As far as musicals go, I like the classics, Kiss Me Kate, Finnian's Rainbow, Oklahoma!, and the Music Man. A lot of the moderen ones don't really hold up in terms of great songs. I do like Evita, and I like a little bit of Phantom, but it's really overdone - especially the film -awful. I liked the Producers, but it envoked the older style of musicals. I'd love to see Avenue Q, though ( ... )

I double your "meh" to Coachella. RHCP? RATM? The last time I checked the calendar read 2007, not 1993. To make the perfect trifecta of "alterna-suck," why didn't they just cap the line-up off with Green Day?

Ugh.

I'm a fan of Green Day. At least they've made a relavent album in the last five years - even if it's overplayed.

You want to talk about alterna-suck, let's throw in My Chemical Romance, Good Charlotte, Fall Out Boy, and 30 Seconds to Mars - good greif, stop whining!

That quite a lot of meh-saying.

But, some occasions are more meh than others.

You sorta covered things for me, so now I don't have to.

Bush just wants lots of good soundbites...people quoting him saying good things, media buzz about his plans. He wants that immediate buzz like a sugar rush, hoping nobody notices when he doesn't follow up on it. And, if they do notice, maybe it'll be close enough to the end of his second term that he can shrug and shuck and jive his way through it.

Now, I say meh.

Bush has always been a soundbite guy. He has writers for a reason, and he's not allowed to go off script very often because - well, we know the results. Still, he's not a strong speaker by any means. Sadly, many people saw this as a point of identification with the President - as if valadating being idiots together. It's embarassing.

Unfortunately neither Gore nor Kerry were able to come across as less than aloof, and they lost points even though they can actually communicate. It's sad whith what we put up with, playing to the average rather than expecting better.

At least the majority of people are starting to see what we've gotten ourselves into.
