In Spokane someone had printed "I survived Ice Storm 96" shortly there after. My father-in-law has pictures of the chainlink fence filled with ice. The ice got so heavily wraped around his Ham radio tower the top bent down and almost touched the ground! That was a good storm on both sides of the state.
I remember years earlier when ever there was a long power outing going to my granparents becouse they always had a stack of wood for their fireplace, and one of the aunts and uncles finding one of the few pizza resturants in Tacoma that had power and bring pizza to us all, the place did bucko business that night.!
