Get Rossy a new, better bike: light in weight, comfortable seat. It sounds like he will enjoy being the leader for a change - rather than being tortured. I had the same problem 40 years ago. The new bike made ALL the difference.

This seemed like the perfect day to me. Coming home in the evening - the sun slanting across the PA fields and hills was so beautiful. Perfect ending to a perfect day. And even discovering that Roswell WAS telling the truth was a wonderful thing!

i DO like these bike trail trips. other than feeling guilty (while also feeling like a queen) since i'm the one being pushed and you're doing all the work! it's so lovely. yesterday i really loved the craggy wet boulders all up the hill and the dear little creek. ahhh, the smells of the woods....

i'll post some pics...

DON'T feel guilty! I love it that I am getting stronger, and pushing you (especially on the flats) is absolutely so easy. I'm just so glad to have your company!

I love the pictures!!!!!!

That was a lot of bike trading! And it had an added side benefit. You found out just how bad Rossy's bike was. Yes, a good lesson in not crying wolf :) And luckily for him, his birthday's coming up!

Your tree looks magnificent, btw.

Oh, and I love the one of you sitting cross-legged, getting your breath back. That's a very nice photo of you!

I'm hoping it does turn out to be a lesson for him - and a lesson for me too!

It is amazing how big trees are really - it looks so much bigger than the house!

Thanks.
