Perhaps....the owl is trying to tell you something, M? I don't know. Those are adorable. I always feel blessed when I spy an owl or a bat here.

I love seeing bats too. And it is rare to see owls but they are here. You might enjoy this photo story that my sister wrote about owls in FL: http://earthmother45.livejournal.com/532669.html

Is #2 a taxidermy specimen?

It is made of bark and some kind of fiber. Maybe coconut fiber, with plastic eyes.

She calls the owls she makes "Kathy's Owls" after photos that Kathy took of some baby owls in a nest. That was one reason I wanted one too :-)

Funny how you collected owls without meaning to. They are cute. I wonder if owls have a mystery to us because they are nocturnal?

Oh, and good luck with the wedding ring!

We do have owls here but it is rare to see them - they are good at hiding in the daytime. They are really neat though - maybe cause their eyes are in the front like ours we relate to them more?

Thanks - I need to keep calm with the wedding ring - any little hitch seems to throw me off - I have become over-sensitized to worry.

Oh, I love your owl collection! They are all the same size, but each one so different from the others.

Great that Johnny is coming home. I hope it is a great summer for all.

Good luck on the rebuilding of the ring.

I'm glad that none of the owls are very big - they fit in a nice little area on the floor there - at least for now.
