Oh, OK. Basements can wait. They don't even know they're waiting. Would be different if they did... some kind of dilemma I suppose.

Maybe if the basement stuff would encourage me it would be better - if it would yell up to me, Hey, we're waiting for you! We want you! We NEED you!

It would help for awhile, then you would close the door and put in ear plugs.

We have a house rule that you don't move if there is a cat on you, unless you have to go to the bathroom.

These rules can come in handy sometimes.

Especially when you can get the other member of the household to do things for you because you "can't get up, there's a cat on me."

Beautiful eyes on that animal.

They are! He has cataracts and sometimes his eyes look glowy because of them. He is basically a very gentle soul, unless you are a mouse.

I'm trying to think of things as far as their usefullness to me in the future. If I can't imagine ever using it again I need to let it go. There is an awful lot of family memorabilia that I guess I need to save - at least for a while longer but there is a lot of stuff that is (realistically) never going to be used by me again. I'm telling myself I need to do this for my future, not for the past.

Good luck to you with your purge!

Oh, the old Cat Excuse. Happens to me a lot :) Yeah, I try not to move but sometimes I have to! I don't have another warm lap to hand Tom over these days.

Ha! The "old cat excuse" - I use it a lot actually. I can get Dave to do all kinds of things for me this way. ;-)
