My friend Cindy R came for a visit yesterday and gave me a beta fish. It is dark blue with some purple near it's head. I love the little guy already and named him Indigo. Indy for short. He comes over to investigate your finger if you put it close to the glass.

My husband loves these fish, but I do not buy them - they are very angry and they can not be kept with other breeds
but they are incredibly beautiful. We are called "cocks"
your fish are gorgeous, very beautiful blue color and the name too

Yes, I read about how you do have to be careful to not put them in with certain other fish or even snails. They are very territorial. But they are interesting little fish and very beautiful. I'm happy with just the one.

Ha! It does sound like a children's book. I will be putting them side by side when Indy gets into his new aquarium - maybe there will be some stories of interactions to come!

I'm hoping today will be the day to move him to his new home.

That picture was processed with pixlr-o-matic, which is a free program you can get on your computer. I like it better than all the paid programs.
