The colors are very intense and deep. It is 2 pine trees against a blue (aura borialis) sky with a full moon made out of a round magnifying glass.

So beautiful! And really clever! What gave her the idea for the magnifying glass?

Have you worked with pendant-sized magnifiers in your jewelry?

It was my idea - thought it would look neat to have one in a stained glass piece, but how she placed it in the design and the rest of the design was all her idea.

I have some sitting on my work bench right now, haven't figured out exactly how to use them yet....

That is so cool. I love that you have it there. I was amazed when I first took a picture of the window and saw the trees across the way were upside down in the magnifying glass.

If I remember it right, you gave me the magnifying glass and asked me to make something for you with that in it. That is my own idea of what the northern lights would look like, and I wanted to put pine trees in it because we grew up surrounded by them and the magnifying glass is supposed to represent the moon. That window has to be about 20 years old!

Yes, I think I saw an artwork where there a bunch of magnifying glasses hanging from strings or something (gave me the idea) and I asked you if you could make me a stained glass piece with one in it. I think I gave you the one you used. I was just expecting a little sun catcher and was so pleased to get a full sized fabulous piece from you.

Yes, you gave me the one I used. It is the only piece I've ever done with a magnifying glass in it and it sure has gotten a lot of attention when people see the picture of it in my portfolio. I'm so glad you keep it close.

Oooh, that stained glass piece is so awesome!

And it is weird that the tree is upside down...complete with swing!

That window that Kathy did for me is very special. I have some others she did for me too - I'll take photos after I get settled in the house and show where they will be placed.
