I finally got out for a walk down back today - I don't think I have been down there since the beginning of March! Chloe was here watching her grandma for me (AND cleaning house!) - so nice to come back to a sparkling house - she even cleaned the windows ( Read more... )

Beautiful photos. I love the next to the last one (path up) so much. And all the ones of the creek, and the red maple. I don't think I've ever seen it that color. When I'm there, it's usually dark red color. And of course, the old sycamore tree.
Yes, everything does look so young and green, and so familiar. .

Those ornamental red maple leaves only look that color when you are seeing the light coming through them in the springtime (before they get all their pigment) - from the "outside" of the tree they look dark burgundy.

Yes, that's what I remember, the dark burgundy color. I love this "new" color!
